Lukas can now drink out of a straw! He loves it, because he gets more through a straw than when he had to suck it through the sippy cup....he also likes to spit it all out now too....

Our family enjoyed a trip to the lake. The kids loved seeing the ducks, hanging out together, and a couple of spontaneous wardrobe changes....we all had a great time and took some awesome photos....enjoy...

Lukas and the Giant Clippers....

After a year on the run, Lukas knew the time had come to turn himself in....and get a haircut....

not too many people know this...but Carla is a hair dresser.....um...I don't think she even knew it... ;-)

It may look like Lukas is crying after seeing his hair fall to the floor, but he's actually laughing...

Mommy did a great job for her first haircut....ever.....Lukas is indicating that mommy is #1 when it comes to haircuts!

Ryan's Birthday

We celebrated Ryan's birthday as well as Lynn's since they were 1 day apart. Carla made this awesome Clown Fish cake since we all love Hawaii....it was great! Yumm....

Thanks to Kevin from church, after the party we all went to watch a Hockey game in a Suite...it was a lot of fun....although the Referee's didn't do our team any favors...Thanks again Kevin!

Disneyland for Daddy's Birthday!

Carla took me to Disneyland for my birthday. We had a lot of fun and loved going....oh ya, the kids had fun too... Mitch, April, Kaelyn and Andrew went also and we all had a lot of fun!

Leiya loved this little monkey. Unfortunately, 10 minutes after this photo was taken, her monkey was kidnapped and was never heard from again. If anyone has information as to the whereabouts of this monkey, let us know.... sorry, no reward is currently being offered.....

As if standing up all by himself was hard enough, Lukas pushed the envelope and is able to stand up while being attacked by a vicious stuffed Monkey around his neck!

Disneyland for Daddy's birthday!

The Matterhorn was the very first roller coaster daddy ever went on. Now the tradition continues. Leiya, at 3 years old rode the Matterhorn. She even yelled "Boo!" at the Yeti inside the ride. Good thing Leiya yelled at the Yeti.....it kept her from seeing how scared daddy was.....mommy rode it as well and was in front. She got to see how wide eyed Leiya was during the ride.....it was a lot of fun!

On the way home, we went to The Grove, an outdoor mall in the Hollywood area. This was the view from the parking garage....

Looks like our little Leiya has forgotten that she has a little BROTHER...but it doesn't look like Lukas minds that much.....

HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY LUKAS!!!!!!

Wow, what a year it has been and a fast year at that! Lukas turned 1 year-old today at 10:20....We had such a fun day with our two beautiful kids! Most of the day was spent decorating for Lukas' birthday party, it was a Mickey Mouse theme.

Below are some pictures of the day. The first one is his official birthday, note the time on the microwave...then the moment before he blew out the candle all by himself..wink wink....then, him eating the cake in a very civilized manner, followed by a birthday rocking horse, made by Papa!
